I am a clinical social worker with twenty-five years of experience supporting adults, couples and families. It has been an honor to witness people grow and change. I have seen how the therapeutic process can instill hope, motivate change and lead to greater fulfillment.
After graduating from Smith College School for Social Work, I completed a year-long fellowship at Children's Hospital, Boston in the adolescent and young adult clinic. Since then, I have worked with clients of all ages, from pre-school aged children to adults in hospice care. I have lived and worked in different countries, which has given me a deep appreciation for the cultural values that influence us.
My training is rooted in psychodynamic theory and focuses on a strength-based approach. While I have specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy, grief and bereavement, sand tray therapy and parent-child psychotherapy, my main approach now is Internalized Family System’s therapy (IFS or “Parts Therapy”). I am a Level 2 IFS/IFIO trained therapist and engage in ongoing training and peer-supervision. I also have a deep appreciation for 12-Step programs and recovery work.
I am licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts (#121138).
